Farfalle with Tuna

Ingredients to serve 4 people:

  • 400g (14 oz.) Torino Farfalla pasta

  • 400g (14 oz.) peeled tomatoes

  • 1/2 onion

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1/2 cup of white wine

  • 180g (6 oz.) tuna in olive oil 

  • 1 tablespoon of chopped basil 

  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley 

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • salt

  • pepper

Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the finely chopped onion and garlic and simmer until golden in color. Pour in the wine and allow it to evaporate. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and cook for about 15 minutes. Break up the tuna and add it to the sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes and stir in the basil and parsley.

In a separate pot, cook the pasta in boiling, salted water. Drain well and pour into the saucepan containing the tuna sauce. Mix well and serve.
